Staff

Our personnel consists of the following positions:

Daycare personnel

• Head of Department (SKV approved)
• Early years educator (SKV approved), German speaking
• Early years educator (SKV approved or equivalent), English speaking
• Early educator apprentices (SKV approved)
• Assistants

The daycare groups are led by a German speaking educator with an apprentice and/or assistant. The English speaking educator provides English lessons either in English Activities classroom or within the child's grouproom.

 

Kindergarten and After School/Holiday Club personnel

• Head of department (EDK approved)
• Kindergarten teacher (with Swiss recognised Diploma), German and English speaking
• Assistant

The kindergarten classes have an English and a German speaking teacher in each class. The After School and Holiday Club has an English speaking teacher. All classes are joined by an assistant.

 

Kitchen and Housekeeping staff

• Qualified chef
• Apprentice chef
• Cleaner
• Assistant

 

All members of staff are selected very carefully according to their :

• educational background
• personality
• level of patience
• ability to relate to children

 

Each staff member must undergo a first aid and a fire training course.

The school abides by all rules concerning working time, vacations, salary, approved education, and continuing education for the sta as set by the SKV, EDK and the appropriate Swiss authorities.
