Cleanliness and safety is an important aspect of any school. This will minimize health hazards. In order to enable this:
- Each staff member routinely completes a first-aid course
- All rooms are cleaned daily at the end of the day
- All food items are stored in appropriate places and we ensure that they are fresh and within the dates given on the labels
- All dangerous items such as medicine, cleaning equipment etc. are kept locked and out of the reach of children
- An agreement with the nearest children's doctor and the nearest local hospital has been made for cases of emergency. In case of emergency or illness parents will be informed immediately
- No one except the parents is allowed to pick up a child unless the parents themselves have given instructions
- All children are required to fill in a medical form and have it signed by their doctor. This will ensure that the school is aware of any information such as allergies
- Children with fever or contaminating diseases must remain at home until they have recovered
- The parents must supply at least one telephone number at which they are reachable at all times
- For security purposes, a badge entry system allows only authorised people to enter the school
The building contains all necessary fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets. Each staff member has completed a fire course. An evacuation plan can been devised and rehearsed by all the teachers.
