Offer
In our Daycare we offer a safe learning environment for the children in German and English
The priority of the Daycare is to provide the children with first-class care and attention. We bring in a large number of toys, selected books, games, music and movement activities.
Children have enormous learning potential and they are ready and eager to discover the world. They deal with a large number of things and constantly ask questions. It is important to answer them in a way they can understand.
We want to offer the children a safe, varied and interesting environment in an organised and playful setting so they are able to get a broad overview of the most diverse aspects of life and develop their own personality.
They are looked after in a bilingual environment German and English. We have hired trained caregivers in German and English.
We want to offer the parents the opportunity to pursue their professional activities with the certainty that their child will not only be in good hands during this time, but will also be encouraged according to their requirements and needs.
Since the founders of Wings School are working parents themselves, and placed their own children in the care of the school, there is a personal interest in offering the best care.

Daycare Curriculum
Language, sports, maths & science, dance, theather, excursions, arts, crafts
Language
Children are taught in both English and German. The languages are clearly distinguished. Staff only speak to the children in their spoken language; this avoids potential language mix ups.
Language development includes: learning basic phonics, introduction to the alphabet, visual aids, understanding the language and using it accurately.
Arts & Crafts
The aim of the arts subject is to develop creativity and aesthetic appreciation. The children experience a wide variety of media such as drawing, painting, clay, hammers & nails, nut & bolts, dough, scissors, paper, cardboard, glue, tape, etc.
The children’s artwork will be displayed in classrooms and school hallways. At the end of each year the children can take their work home with them.
Outside Play
It is very important to us to let the children spend enough time outdoors. Since we do not have our own garden we try to visit the surrounding playgrounds and parks everyday or at least three times a week.
Music, Dance & Theater
One of the very important parts of learning is music. Music is a form of expression. We regularly sing and dance as well as introduce the children to a variety of instruments and musical styles. The children are encouraged to creatively develop their rhythm, sense of movement and learn to experience their body through sound.
Excursions
We arrange 1-2 full day excursions per year as well as several half-day excursions. In many cases the excursions will be linked to a current theme.
Parental Events
In the interest of the child, good cooperation between paretns and teachers is important.
Parents Evenings
Once a year the staff arrange a parent evening for each class. This is an information session and also gives parents an opportunity to meet other parents and ask the teachers questions.
Parent teacher meetings
Parent teacher meetings take place once in year, normally in the Spring.
Wings Party
In the Summer, we invite all parents, children and staff to a barbeque where we can get to know each other better.
Turnip parade
Each year the Daycare and Kindergarten teams invite Wings School families to join us on a traditional turnip parade through the area. Drinks and snacks are made available at the end.
